Participation strengthened customer relationships, international expansion and the development of customized solutions for carports and ground-mount structures
Tessa took part in Intersolar South America 2026, held from August 25 to 27 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, against a backdrop of greater technical maturity and new challenges for the solar energy market.
Over the three days of the event, the company welcomed customers, partners, system integrators and industry professionals, followed developments in the PV market and moved forward with commercial discussions in Brazil and abroad.
While its 2025 participation focused on raising brand awareness in the solar segment, the 2026 edition marked a new stage. The company focused its presence on strengthening relationships with the market and showcasing its engineering capability to develop steel structures tailored to the characteristics of different projects.
The assessments of Giovanna Bracioli, Sales Analyst at Tessa, João Roberto, Sales Director, and Thiago Tessarolo, Managing Partner / CEO, help show how the company perceived the changes in the sector and which trends are likely to gain relevance in the coming years.

☀️ The market seeks to adapt to new challenges
For Giovanna Bracioli, the main difference between the 2025 and 2026 participations lies in the stage of the relationship the company has built with the sector.
The year before, the challenge was focused on introducing Tessa to the solar market and showing the breadth of its operations. In 2026, according to the analyst, there was a perception of greater brand recognition among customers and partners.
“If in 2025 we made our debut and got the market to notice us, in 2026 we consolidated our presence, strengthened our positioning and conveyed security and confidence to our customers,” says Giovanna.
During conversations at the show, one topic came up repeatedly: the need to adapt.
According to Giovanna, system integrators have been looking for alternatives in the face of regulatory changes, limitations related to utilities and new challenges in making PV projects viable.
This trend also influences the choice of sites for installing the modules. Projects initially designed for roofs, for example, may shift to other solutions, including solar carports.
A steel carport structure makes it possible to use parking areas for power generation while also creating functional cover for vehicles. This configuration expands the possibilities for deploying PV systems at companies, residential and commercial complexes and other developments.
Giovanna also highlights the internationalization potential of the solutions developed by Tessa. During Intersolar, foreign companies showed interest in learning about the products and structural systems the company uses in the Brazilian market, including mounting solutions.
In the video, Giovanna Bracioli talks about how Tessa’s participation evolved between 2025 and 2026, the importance of customer relationships during Intersolar and the opportunities to take solutions developed in Brazil to other markets.

🏗️ Engineering carries more weight in the choice of solar structures
In João Roberto’s view, Intersolar South America 2026 revealed a more technical and discerning market.
According to the sales director, the conversations held during the event were more focused on projects, applications and customers’ concrete needs. This shift is also reflected in the criteria used to evaluate steel structures for PV systems.
“Ground-mount steel structures and carports play a fundamental role in the safety, durability and efficiency of the plant. That is why customers showed greater concern with material quality, accurate structural sizing, resistance to weather conditions and the suitability of the solution for the installation site,” he says.
Sizing a steel structure for a solar plant involves a number of technical variables.
- Among the points gaining attention are:
- wind loads and local weather conditions;
- soil and foundation characteristics;
- structural stability;
- ease of assembly and maintenance;
- vehicle traffic in carport projects;
- drainage and integration with the development.
According to João, a correctly sized structure also helps protect the PV modules and other installation components throughout their service life.
Ground-mount structure projects, for example, need to take into account topography, soil characteristics, foundations and environmental conditions. Carports add further factors such as vehicle traffic, use of the area, drainage and architectural integration.
This set of variables underscores the importance of solutions developed according to the characteristics of each project.
“Each project has its own characteristics, such as architecture, topography, type of roofing, vehicle traffic, land occupancy and wind conditions. That is why the structure has to be designed specifically, respecting both the technical requirements and the functionality of the development,” says João.
In Tessa’s strategy, developing customized solutions makes it possible to serve projects in which standardized structures do not fully address the technical or functional conditions of the installation.
João Roberto
In the video, João Roberto explains how engineering and safety guide the development of Tessa’s projects. The director also discusses the integration between the sales and technical teams to turn the needs identified with the customer into specific structural solutions.
🤝 Internationalization broadens Tessa’s prospects
For Thiago Tessarolo, Intersolar South America 2026 also served as a space to follow trends, listen to customers and validate the technical and commercial decisions the company has made.
Among the developments highlighted by the Managing Partner / CEO is the internationalization process.
According to Thiago, since 2024 Tessa has been expanding its operations outside Brazil, especially in Latin American markets.
“Tessa is in the process of internationalization. Since 2024, we have been exporting to other Latin American countries, whose markets are growing more strongly at the moment. At the show, we had very productive conversations not only with Latin American companies, but also with companies from other continents,” he says.
According to the executive, Intersolar increased contact with foreign professionals interested in learning about the company’s engineering capability and the solutions it has developed for different types of solar projects.
The show also served to evaluate changes Tessa made ahead of the event, including the redesign of its ground-mount structures and the evolution of its carport projects.
“It was in this context that we redesigned our ground-mount structures, making them more competitive and improving the product. We also revised and enhanced our carports, which were already competitive and are now even more mature, both technically and commercially,” says Thiago.
The executive also highlighted the scale of projects the company has already completed. According to him, two of the largest carports in the Americas use structures supplied by Tessa.
The statement reinforces the company’s experience in this type of application, although size comparisons between projects depend on the criteria used, such as covered area, installed capacity, number of parking spaces or structural volume.
In Thiago’s assessment, the 2026 participation represented less a change of direction and more a confirmation of the strategies the company had already been pursuing.
Thiago Tessarolo
In the video, Thiago Tessarolo discusses the importance of Intersolar as an environment for following the transformations in the sector and listening to customers and partners. The Managing Partner also highlights the team’s preparation process and the company’s outlook for the 2027 edition.

⚙️ The solar market demands structures increasingly suited to each project
Tessa’s participation in Intersolar South America 2026 revealed a market in which the steel structure is taking on an increasingly technical role within PV projects.
Structural safety, sizing, soil characteristics, resistance to weather conditions, assembly and integration with the development have become part of discussions that go beyond the price of the product.
In this scenario, solutions such as solar carports and ground-mount steel structures must address not only the need to support PV modules, but also the specific conditions of each installation.
For Tessa, the 2026 edition reinforced three trends that should continue to guide its operations: the technical evolution of its structures, the development of customized projects and the expansion of its international presence.
The expectation for 2027 is to make progress on these fronts and present new projects and applications to the market, keeping engineering, safety and technical suitability at the core of its structural solutions.
